First day in Korea (1)

Fresh back from a trip to Korea, it's time I made some slight changes to my blog.
First up, bigger photos!
Ok, so this isn't a picture of anything quite significant about Korea, but nevertheless, it's an important first start to the day.
No, I don't mean breakfast, but rather, the hope of a good start to a first day in Korea.
Why, because the trip was not without mishaps.
Sure, in the morning, we were all happily digging into this warm meal of eggs made by Pitto, but who knew the night before, we were stranded outside our guesthouse at Backpackers Korea at Simseoldong because we were very awfully late and had no way to communicate with the locals.
It was not until Teresa went into the convenience store opposite and got the staff there to help make a call to the guesthouse that someone came down to open the door for us.
Phew!
Next up after breakfast, I split from the group to head up to the USO to pay for my tour to the DMZ.
We were supposed to meet up here at Changdeokgung at 11am.(I'm guessing the mini stone tablets were where the court officials and ministers used to stand when in the king's presence)
But....as with every plan made on earth, nothing went according to plan.

To be continued......
