Standing from the pathway, there was a good view of a mini waterfall before we hit the big one at the end of the short walk to Cheonjiyeon.
Not long after, we reached a bridge and peering down from the side, spotted the obligatory make a wish statue that requires you to throw a coin in for a wish.
The bridge, known as the Bridge of Prayer brings you to the 3 Fortune Stones, consisting of a mandarin duck, carp and turtle, each represents matrimonial harmony, success in life and a sound life in mind and body.
And if not for a signboard at the side of the bridge, I wouldn't have figured out what the animals were on the stone, well, except for the turtle with it's head sticking out, stretching for a look to see who the wish mongers are.
Finally, at the end of the walk, we were rewarded with a magnificent sight, where according to legends, fairies from the heavens used to take baths.
To fully appreciate its beauty, I just had to make this photo larger.
I have no idea who those two striking a pose at the rock are.....I thought they looked cute with the waterfall behind them and just had to take the picture. Haha.....
As lunchtime drew nearer, our stomachs growled louder and we headed back to our guesthouse in the hopes of searching for a good place to have a meal.
Note: Entrance fee for Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is 2000 won per person.
