First day in Korea (6)

As we passed out on the floor of Jeju Hiking Inn this night, it was a mixture of fatigue and relief.
After Cheong Wa Dae, we reached Backpackers Korea at around 6pm to pick up our luggage. As advised by the staff there, we took a cab to Gimpo International Airport for the flight to Jeju.
And that's when things got a little panicky.
To break it down simply......

Time of Flight: 7.30pm
Check-in Time: 6.50pm
Our Time of Arrival at Airport: 7.15pm

By this time, we had already split up the jobs between us.
Ah Liang will take our passports and grovel at the feet of the staff of Eastar Airlines (the budget flight company we were flying with) and Pitto shall run with her for moral support. Teresa and I will pay the taxi driver and lug all the luggage following behind.
It was a desperate move and Teresa, me and Pitto ran like mad women around the airport in the wrong direction when Teresa heard Ah Liang calling out to us from the check-in counter from behind.
It was the luckiest moment of our trip in Korea! Never have we been so glad that a flight we were taking was delayed!
Time of flight was pushed to 7.55pm and we were right on time to check in our luggage!
Landing at the Jeju airport at around 9.10pm, we caught the 9.22pm bus (they call it the airport limousine over there) to Seogwipo-si, where our hostel was at.
An hour later, we could finally put down our luggage and rest for the night.

To be continued....

Note: Eastar Airlines is a budget airline similar to Airasia. Early bookings may grant you a cheaper airfare to Jeju and you can also look out for promotional periods for affordable prices. The best thing, is that they have an English website available as most of the other airlines to Jeju only offer Korean websites. As I managed to book at a promotional price, my air ticket was RM113 for one way.
