Resolution made simple

At the beginning of the new year, it's not unusual to look back at what the last year meant to you and resolving to have a better year ahead by setting new year resolutions - I must exercise! I must visit the safari in Africa! I resolve to be a better person! I must....... and the list goes on.
But really....what is a new year other than making empty promises to yourself? Everyone knows by the end of March, the resolution would be long forgotten and new ones (repeated ones, in fact) are in the plans to be resolved at the end of the year. And the whole fiasco goes into an eternal loop until the day you die.
If you ask me, the trick into keeping a promise to yourself is to make a simple one that's easy to abide to. In fact, just choose one that makes you happy.
Repeat after me: I resolve to have an ice cream on a sunny day!
Well, lookie here...I already did.
