Never gloat when you are having it good

Two weeks ago, I was free, I was happy, and I had complete control.
I made the mistake of gloating my happy life to some friends and now retribution has fallen upon me.
I've had 12 hour assignments for two Saturdays straight, more assignments than usual, many badly timed phone calls from various companies, agencies and pr people from different fields, a leaking room at home, a fight with my mum (on msn!), handling a very lousy friend and the list goes on.
Not that I'm complaining about what a bad life I'm having, I'm just saying.....never ever gloat when the going gets good!
If you're having a great life, shut up about it. If you're having a bad day, karma would take away the good days from those who gloat and hand it over to you.
Someone out there is probably enjoying two happy weeks because of me...........curses.......
