When I first picked up manga back in primary school, Crayon Shin Chan was one of those that I enjoyed reading.Crayon Shin Chan didn't have a storyline that blew you away. And it didn't have what other manga artists might call quality drawing.
It was crude in certain ways but maybe that was what I liked about it in the first place.
Over the years, Crayon Shin Chan's stories did not improve and the same formula was reused. The wait for the next book became longer and they were thinner than before. But I continued buying them anyway.
I remember laughing about the manga with my cousins and friends, talking about the crude things Shinnosuke did and becoming a public library to those who knew I had the manga collection.
It was very much a part of my growing up days, which was the main reason why I continued picking up the manga.
Now, Crayon Shin Chan is no more. I'm going to miss his pranks, his antics, his family, his friends and his adventures.
Goodbye, Shinnosuke. Goodbye Yoshito Usui.
You will definitely be remembered.
although i'm not dat giler comic, but reading Crayon Shin Chan is a MUST thg to do wen i was young! hmmm..
